formations of stars
This video is an explanation on how stars are formed
A star forms out of a cloud of dust and gas collapsing within a larger cloud called a nebula. As gravity pulls material in the cloud closer together the center gets compressed more and more while it is getting more compressed it gets hotter and hotter then this dense hot core is a star this is very simple and doesn't mention the different stages of life a star has as it ages but its the very simple version. In short stars form very similar to planets except they don't have to collide with other material but it still needs to have huge cloud of gas to collapse on its self. Stars will take in the gas and destroy the material in its way as it expands which is why planets are on a survival of the fittest if they are to slow in their formation they will end up destroyed by the star. the different stages of a star in order are as follows a protostar it is now condensing matter will start to heat up and glow main sequence stars are our sun the star releases energy red giant starts to expand and cool it becomes less effceint and finally a white dwarf it has lost some weight but with age become less efficient but still is very small and bright
